1 September 2016: It's up to us to stop bigotry and hate
Last week, at a family gathering, I found myself sitting next to my 90 year old cousin, and noticed the tattooed 5 digit number on his left arm, courtesy of the World War II German government. Think it can't happen here? Why not? We have a Presidential candidate espousing bigotry on a daily basis, who is supported by 40% of the population, and most of us are doing nothing in response.
What will you tell your children and grandchildren that you did to combat the bigotry and hate? How to respond is personal, but we all should do something. It may not be enough, but I am distributing this bumper sticker which I had printed -
