16 September 2022: Please vote
I hope everyone is planning to vote in the next election. With the widespread availability of absentee ballots (at least in Michigan), every community should have a turnout of 80% or more. Make sure you are registered and have a plan (absentee, early voting [in some states] or on election day). Personally I like absentee plus tracking my ballot, see https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/Voter/Index but it is up to you.
But please vote and check that your friends and family are voting. If we don't vote, we have no right to complain about anything having to do with government, because democracy requires our participation to be effective - we cannot just assume someone else will do our work for us.
