25 August 2019: Letter to my Michigan legistators about the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact
I think it would be useful to introduce and try to move forward the legislation on the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. As we discussed, there is some support from the Republican Party, and that may grow if the President's polling numbers continue to decline. In addition, its introduction in Michigan and any movement forward may also spur activity in other states, which may "bounce back" and have an effect here. It would be helpful if Michigan would at least be a "pending" state on the progress map, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Popular_Vote_Interstate_Compact
Thanks!
