Are you willing to die for Reverend Trump?

I originally thought that Donald Trump was trying to emulate Vladimir Putin, Russia’s “eternal leader” (see https://www.newyorker.com/news/dispatch/vladimir-putin-positions-himself-to-become-russias-eternal-leader), who tolerates no dissent from the media or opposition politicians.

However, I think a better comparison is with Reverend Jim Jones, the American preacher who directed a mass murder - suicide of his followers in his jungle commune at Jonestown, Guyana (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Jones).

This is what President Trump has suggested that his followers do, by word or example:

1. Take hydroxychloroquine with Donald. "I feel good about it” and well as numerous other promotions (see https://www.forbes.com/sites/andrewsolender/2020/05/22/all-the-times-trump-promoted-hydroxychloroquine/#742f62bb4643). Unfortunately, this is a hazardous drug that often hastens death, see https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)31180-6/fulltext.

2. Not wear a mask in public, which increases the risk to oneself and others of the COVID-19 infection, now a leading cause of US death, see https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/26/politics/donald-trump-covid-masks-politics-health/index.html and many other articles.

3. Injecting disinfectant or other dangerous remedies, see https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-52407177 .

4. Discouraging social isolation and encouraging high risk behavior, such as large gatherings at the Republican National Convention, see https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/25/politics/trump-threatens-charlotte-republican-convention/index.html .

5. Continuous disparagement of medical expertise compared to his own knowledge, based on his delusional thoughts.

His leadership has been compared to a cult by many, see https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-coronavirus-total-authority-like-cult-leader-expert-2020-4, https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2020-01-10/donald-trump-cult-steven-hassan-moonie and others.

How many of his followers and others will he lead to their death?
