30 August 2020 - Huntington Woods selects a charity for the 2020 Voter Challenge
Huntington Woods has selected its charity if it wins one of the prizes for the 2020 voter challenge, see https://natpernick.blogspot.com/2020/08/26-august-2020-2020-voter-challenge.html. Per Amy Sullivan, Huntington Woods City Manager:
One of the new initiatives the City is working on is developing an anti-racism plan with actionable items. And I would like to dedicate your voter challenge prize to this effort! Some of the action items are to curate anti-racism material for the library that teaches how to recognize and combat racism, create a speaker series dedicated to anti-racism, and fund a collection of material that focuses on the voices and experiences of people of color. I would like to dedicate the challenge prize for fulfilling these action items by purchasing new material and offering speaker stipends.
