31 May 2019: Raise State taxes please!

I sent this letter today:

Dear Governor Whitmer,

Congratulations on the Auto Insurance bills signed this week.

As a business owner for most of the last 40 years, I think it is important for you to RAISE taxes on businesses and on the wealthy. Of course, it will cost me more, and part of me doesn't like that. But my small business (14 employees) needs good roads, schools and infrastructure, and there will only be enough money if business pays its fair share, which it is not doing, and if the wealthy pay more.

Of course, some wealthy individuals will leave the State if this happens. But the improved services will attract others, and Michigan's population will start growing again.

I know this is a tough sell in the Republican legislature, but I hope you give it a try.
