In Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, Justice Samuel Alito claimed that prior U.S. Supreme Court decisions created turmoil that would be resolved by removing federal oversight and placing the determination of abortion rights entirely in the hands of the states. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Dobbs decision has unleashed a frenzy of new legislation and created a confusing legal environment that changes daily and is difficult to track.

I have found these two blogs useful to keep up to date on abortion rights in each State:

Reproductive Rights Today

Your comprehensive daily wrap-up of changes to reproductive rights in the states, the front lines in the fight over abortion access in a post-Roe America. Free.

Abortion, Every Day.

Each weekday, you’ll get a comprehensive newsletter about what’s happening with abortion—from legal updates on state bans and women’s stories about abortion bans’ impact, to analysis of conservatives’ strategy and prompts on how you can help. Free but will request a paid subscription of $5/month.
