This Saturday, millions of Americans will come together across the country to remind the world that, in America, WE DON’T DO KINGS.
With tanks rolling down the street in DC and troops being deployed to Los Angeles, it’s never been more important for the people of our country to come together in community and nonviolent action to exercise our First Amendment right to peaceful protest. This nationwide, nonviolent display of people power will remind the world that authoritarianism has no home here.
Try as he might, President Trump can’t make our nonviolent protests into riots. He can’t turn our joyful dissent into despair. He can’t make us accept a king.
So on Saturday, we will be taking to the streets. From Philadelphia to Miami. From St. Paul to Flagstaff. From Anchorage to Honolulu. And yes, in Los Angeles. Because no amount of fearmongering can break our spirits, and we believe in the sanctity of our First Amendment right to assemble.
Join the No Kings team for a pre-mobilization call on Thursday, June 12, at 8pm ET/5pm PT. This will be a strategic prep call designed to give you timely updates about the state of play, walk through key messaging guidance, and share best practices on how to participate in this mass mobilization. If you’re wondering how we show up to protest safely, peacefully, and joyously in the face of the Trump administration’s escalations, this is the place to be.
Here’s what else you should do before Saturday:
Gather and Learn!
We have a few opportunities for you to gather virtually with your fellow activists in the days leading up to No Kings Day to hear from experts, community members, and leaders about what the Trump administration is doing and how we are going to oppose it.
Tuesday, June 10, at 6pm ET/3pm PT: No Kings Day Town Hall with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT). As we face attacks on public education, healthcare, civil rights and working families, we’re not just resisting -- we’re organizing for something better: strong public schools, vibrant communities, and a democracy that works for all of us. Join AFT President Randi Weingarten, Gov. Andy Beshear, Indivisible Co-Executive Director Leah Greenberg, and Rev. Al Sharpton for a town hall to build power for the future.
Tuesday, June 10, at 7pm ET/4pm PT: Know Your Rights training with the ACLU (or en Español a las 8:15pm ET). Whether you’re marching, rallying, or supporting from the sidelines, you’ll learn how to protect yourself, your community, and stand up for your rights. We’ll make sure you know your rights during protests and law enforcement encounters and are prepared to take action safely, powerfully, and together.
Thursday, June 12, at 7pm ET/4pm PT: No Kings Call for Veterans and Military Families. Join veteran organizers from Common Defense and other partners for a special call for veterans and military families taking part in No Kings mobilizations on June 14. We will discuss the special role veterans' voices have to play in this pivotal moment and how our veterans and military families can show up on June 14.
Get Loud!
Registration has boomed in the last few days. But, we want these events to be the biggest single day of protest of President Trump’s second term, and we’re working hard to make that happen. But we need your help. Personal connections are always the best way to get people off the couch and into the streets with us, so we need you to spread the word about No Kings Day.
Use our social tools to easily share your No Kings support on social media. We’ve got a simple way to share some pre-written promotion for No Kings Day (complete with graphics!) on social media. Scroll sideways to see your different options and click on the dropdown to choose which social media site you want to post on. You can also download printable posters and graphics directly here.
Record a video: Why are you showing up on Saturday? As we head toward Saturday’s No Kings mobilization, we want to lift up your voices. With President Trump escalating the crisis in California and deploying the National Guard, it's more important than ever to show that our movement is grounded in love, community, and peaceful resistance. Take 30 seconds to tell us why you are taking action -- why you believe in people power over authoritarian control. Post your video on social media and tag us with: #NoKings. Let’s show the world what nonviolent resistance looks like.
Edit your display name on your social media accounts to include these two emojis:
. It will help generate buzz as folks dig into what it means -- example below.
While President Trump postures and threatens the American people with military might, we will show them a better way: Nonviolence, community and joy. We’re so excited to be a part of this incredible moment with you on Saturday, and to continue working toward a better world in the weeks and months to come.
See you in the streets,
The No Kings Team
