Our government has to function better, which means changing rules that may have worked in the past, but now make no sense. I recently wrote my two Senators this email about changing rules regarding Senate holds and the filibuster, and suggest you write also. Let me know what you think.
Dear Senator __:
The Senate must change its rules to function better, such as by limiting the ability of one Senator to block Presidential appointments (Senator Tuberville in this case), requiring a supermajority to pass legislation or other examples of the "tyranny of the minority", see article by Jennifer Rubin at https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/10/02/democrats-rule-changes/. The Senate needs to get things done and these rules are getting in the way.
Please review and advise.
