9 April 2018: Being close to evil
Comment in response to New York Times article about President Trump's attorney:
The Talmud, in Avot (Chapter 1, verse 7), says "do not cleave to a wicked person." Many evil people are charming and their power and fame are hard to resist, including former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and President Donald Trump. But being close to evil makes it much more likely you will commit bad acts yourself, as your inclinations to avoid trouble have already been overcome. We should anticipate more indictments, actions of professional misconduct and lawsuits against friends and family of the President.
