On Wednesday, 6 November 2024, our freedom will end if Trump is elected. Even though the inauguration is not until 20 January 2025, we can expect King Trump and his followers to start enforcing their laws, by threats and other means, as soon as the election results are announced, the Constitution be damned.
Future essays will discuss the most prominent impacts of King Trump’s reign, including:
King Trump’s wars
King Trump’s recession
The reversion of women’s rights to those in the 1700s, including measures to limit their employment to jobs that don’t interfere with their newly announced national role as “baby makers”
Government-led discrimination of nonwhites, including measures to limit their employment to “Black jobs” and “Hispanic jobs”
Deportations and threats of violence against tens of millions of recent immigrants
Abolishing LGBTQ rights and revoking existing marriages
Abolishing Obamacare for its 45 million enrollees, removing provisions that lower health premiums and prescription costs, eliminating protections for those with preexisting conditions and kicking young people off their parents’ coverage
Dramatic cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security Benefits to pay for King Trump’s tax cuts to the wealthy
Revoking President Biden’s student loan forgiveness agreements
Revoking President Biden’s actions to reduce global warming
Ending free and fair elections
Of course, this future is not yet determined. American citizens can vote for President Biden (or another Democrat) for President and ensure that Democrats control the House and Senate. Whether this happens is up to us - how we vote and how politically active we become.
