Now and then, I’ll post plain, undeniable evidence that Donald Trump is unfit for the presidency - evidence that, if applied to a corporate CEO, would get them fired. If Congress acted in good faith, it would already be grounds for impeachment.
Trump says he knew ‘nothing’ about the report on officials texting war plans to a journalist.
Let’s be clear: these were his hires. He brought them in. As president, as the de facto CEO of the federal government, he was responsible for them. So which is it - is he detached? Incompetent? Indifferent? Or something more alarming? Regardless of the excuse, the result is the same: this is not someone who should be anywhere near power.
President Trump says his administration is actively exploring a proposal to detain U.S. citizens and send them to prisons in El Salvador. Speaking Monday, minutes before a press briefing alongside El Salvador's president, Nayib Bukele, Trump could be heard embracing the concept. "The homegrowns are next, the homegrowns. You've got to build about five more places," Trump said to Bukele, an apparent reference to prison space that would be needed in El Salvador to house U.S. citizens.
The Constitution doesn’t allow for this. He swore an oath—twice—to uphold that Constitution. This kind of behavior is not a grey area. It’s a blatant, chilling violation.
Trump is wrapping up 100 days of historic failure. America has seen ruinous periods, but never when the president was the one knowingly causing the ruin.
… “But Trump, whose 100th day in office is April 30, has achieved one thing that is truly remarkable: He has introduced a level of chaos and destruction so high that historians are hard-pressed to find its equal in our history.”
This isn’t new. It’s who Trump has always been. He bankrupted his own casinos—six times. His charitable foundation was shut down for fraud. His business record is a trail of mismanagement and deceit, and yet somehow, he's been handed the reins of power again. His followers may be locked in a kind of cultish loyalty. Many Republican leaders know better but stay silent out of fear. So the rest of us? We have to keep speaking up. Louder. As Bernie Sanders said recently, speaking to a young crowd - but really, to all of us: “This country faces some very difficult challenges. And the future of what happens to America is dependent upon your generation. And you can turn away and ignore what goes on, but if you do that, you do that at your own peril.”

Very good overview. The face of the collapse of America into lawless tyranny.
