In 2025, it’s more important than ever to be politically engaged if we want to protect our democracy and preserve what works best in our system of government. Without active participation, we risk a future where power is concentrated in the hands of the wealthy few (i.e., government of, by and for billionaires), leading to greater inequality, declining public health and weakened safety nets. Your acts of courage can help save our democracy.
Today, most of us have the freedom to speak out, even against powerful figures like Donald Trump, without fear of imprisonment or deportation. But that freedom cannot be taken for granted. To preserve it, we must make our voices heard at the ballot box, through peaceful demonstrations, by contacting our public officials and by other involvement.
On his birthday, June 14th, Donald Trump is planning a military parade in downtown Washington, D.C. While he may see it as a symbol of strength, many view it as a projection of his insecurity over his perceived inadequacies and lifetime of failures. In response, thousands of us across the country are expected to gather in protest, exercising our right to dissent and advocating for a more just and accountable government.
In America, We Don’t Do Kings.
They’ve defied our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights, and slashed our services. The corruption has gone too far. No thrones. No crowns. No kings.

Doomtree should get royalties :-) Someone down the street from us flew the Doomtree No Kings flag for years (it was pretty faded and worn by the time they took it down a couple years ago)
