
This essay is based on the blog by Robert Reich, which I agree with.
“All politicians want their underlings to be loyal, but Trump wants them to be more loyal to him than to the nation, and he demands total subservience without regard to right or wrong.”
Trump wants his appointees to lose whatever integrity they have and do whatever he wants. If not, he will destroy them, as he tried to do with Vice President Pence and others. The loyalty is one way - he regularly abandons those who have devoted his life to him, such as his past lawyers Michael Cohen or Rudy Giuliani.
Trump has a sickness - not just in his incoherent thinking but in how he abuses people, which is getting worse.
