The "religious" supporters of Trump who profane their religion

He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord demands of you; but to do justice, to love loving-kindness, and to walk discreetly with your God. Micah 6:8
The purpose of all major religions is to teach us to differentiate good from evil, to try to do good and to avoid evil.
I find it particularly troubling that so many American Christians, Muslims and Jews are Trump supporters despite spending many hours per week studying religious texts.
There is no doubt among most of the civilized world that Trump is a great evil and has been doing evil most of his adult life:
Trump’s Vice Presidential nominee called him America’s Hitler.
Large numbers of those who worked with Trump and know him best call him unfit for office and a danger to the nation.
“He is the most dangerous person ever. I had suspicions when I talked to you about his mental decline and so forth, but now I realize he’s a total fascist. He is now the most dangerous person to this country…a fascist to the core.” - former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, appointed by Trump to this position.
Trump was repeatedly found guilty of fraud, including regarding his charities.
Trump was found guilty of sexual assault by a jury of his peers.
We have seen Trump lie about COVID-19, killing hundreds of thousands of Americans unnecessarily, and endanger flood victims by telling lies about FEMA. No rational person should support a person who does this.
There have been scathing editorials about how he is wholly unfit for office, something not seen before for Presidential candidates.
Listen to him talk at almost any time - he is clearly evil and deranged.
We have seen and heard convincing evidence that Trump committed numerous other serious crimes that would have put any of us in jail, including inciting a riot, insurrection, stealing national secrets and trying to overturn an election.
How is it that Trump’s evil is so obvious to most of us yet many religiously observant Americans are blind to it? Trump supporters apparently follow the advice given by George Orwell’s Ministry of Truth in 1984: “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
True adherents to the teachings of Jesus, Mohammed or the Torah would never support the evil of Trump and his Republican Party.
Regrettably, these quasi-religious Americans are defaming their religion. In Judaism, we call it Chillul Hashem (חילול השם) - desecrating the name of the Almighty. How can they have all this education about their religion and still be so ignorant about evil? Their actions cast a bad light on their religion and their teachers - they should be ashamed of themselves.
