As described in Chris Bowers’ blog, it is tempting to spend a great deal of time thinking about what others should do or say. However, we have no control over that. Instead, I suggest we spend more time thinking about what WE do or say, which is something we can control. Although we cannot make significant changes by ourselves, we can be part of a movement that does make significant changes.
So this week, think about what you could actually do in these 3 areas:
Become more politically active by supporting a cause, candidate or institution.
Support small businesses and give less support to the billionaire businesses that have rigged our society to favor the rich and powerful and create huge inequalities in wealth.
Support media that is pro-democracy and honest, including many bloggers, and weaken Trump’s propaganda machine at Fox and elsewhere by not watching.
If you need more ideas, read this post from the Contrarian which lists 15 ways you can fight for democracy.
