Happy Holidays!
Click here for a list of Twelve food safety mistakes of the holiday season from the University of Minnesota.
The Centers for Disease Control has a similar list.
My American Code Against Cancer lists food related habits we should think about (perhaps after the holidays) to reduce our risk of cancer:
Try to achieve a healthy body weight with a BMI of 25 or less.
Have a healthy diet based on vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Limit sugar, fat, processed meat and red meat.
If you drink alcohol, limit your intake. Not drinking alcohol reduces your cancer risk.
Avoid medical misinformation; rely on trustworthy governmental or academic sources.
