If you support abortion rights and democracy, I suggest you read and consider subscribing to Jessica Valenti’s great blog, Abortion Every Day. This is from her recent weekly summary:
'“just remember that this is part of a much broader attack on democracy that we’ve seen in every single state where abortion is on the ballot.”
Republicans and those opposed to abortion rights are trying to win elections based not on convincing the public but on changing the rules to favor their side.
If you care about these issues, it is important to vote for candidates and issues that are “pro-democracy”, to urge others to vote similarly but also to do more. For years, we have taken democracy and our rights for granted. Going forward, we will have to work harder to keep our democracy. And if you don’t think keeping democracy is important, I suggest you talk to others about what will happen to you as our democracy weakens.
