It's your fault

Are you upset about what Trump / Musk are doing to the United States? That’s good - at least you recognize reality.

But it is probably your fault, at least in a small way. Did you do everything possible to elect Kamala Harris as President and Democrats to the U.S. House and Senate? If not, then you are partly to blame.

I worked very hard and did all I could do. But next time, I would be smarter. I should have realized that most of the public doesn’t read the major newspapers, is not very engaged in politics and doesn’t understand that Democrats are fighting for the middle class and Republicans are puppets of Donald Trump fighting for the billionaires.

In any event, we are witnessing the destruction of the rule of law and the rise of Trump / Musk as dictators. It will get worse. We can expect:

• Recession / depression due to tariffs (and higher prices), deportations (and inadequate workers), Trump’s cabinet of incompetents (running government effectively does require expertise), excessive firing of Federal workers (their jobs require adequate numbers of competent people), threats to State and City governments to follow his orders, producing junk data on the economy (based on what “Trump knows in his head”) and his other possible actions (firing or threatening the head and other members of the Federal Reserve).

• War as Russia, China, Iran and North Korea become more aggressive and attack our allies.

• Limiting abortion rights, contraception, other healthcare and the rights of women and girls, even in blue states.

• A constitutional crisis as Trump ignores court rulings he doesn’t like.

You can make up for your failure to act in the 2024 election by getting more involved now. In addition to the ideas proposed by others, I suggest we do what we can, within the law, to damage the business interests of Trump, Musk and Murdoch (of Fox News).

• Don’t do business with them

• Don’t visit their properties except to picket or protest

• Don’t visit their media or social media

• Don’t work for them

• Don’t listen to them live

• Sell or cancel any of their products that you own

• Urge others to do the above.

Trump, Musk and Murdoch care primarily about money and this will distract them from damaging the United States.
