7 November 2020: Letter to President Trump to resign

7 November 2020 President Trump, What's next? Although you may think you won the election, you will be leaving the White House on 20 January 2021. Here are my thoughts: First, you have to deal with your legal difficulties. As a retired lawyer, my assessment is that you will be charged with numerous federal and state (New York) crimes. The best option would be for you to resign now and get pardoned by VP Pence. Perhaps it is possible to negotiate with the State of New York regarding its charges. Unfortunately, you have waited too long and have little to bargain with. Perhaps they will be satisfied if you liquidate all your business interests or provide full disclosure of your business practices, but I don't know if that will work. Perhaps you should just leave the country - prosecutors may not want to chase or try to extradite a former President.
