Berkley / Huntington Woods Youth Assistance receives a check for $500 for the 2024 Voter Challenge
30 January 2025

Since 2018, I have sponsored a voter turnout competition for eight cities near me to promote voting and local public involvement. On Monday, 27 January 2025, I presented a check for $500 to the Berkley / Huntington Woods Youth Assistance, the charity designated by the City of Berkley, at its City Council meeting presided over by Mayor Bridget Dean. This prize was for having an 80.41% turnout in the November 2024 election and winning third place in the 2024 Voter Challenge.
Other designated charities to date:
Lathrup Village - Lathrup Village Children’s Garden - $250
Pleasant Ridge - Ferncare - $500, click here
Pending presentations:
Ferndale - Ferndale Community Concert Band - $250 (over 75% turnout)
Huntington Woods - $1000 (first place) - charity not yet specified
Royal Oak - $250 (over 75% turnout) - charity not yet specified
