Planning for the post-Trump era

The Trump era will end. His term of office ends on 20 January 2029, but he may die sooner or be removed from office. I suggest we start planning for it now by:
Limiting the damage done by Trump and Musk, both to reduce our current suffering and to make it easier to fix the damage when Trump is gone.
Building a better society that makes another Trump unlikely.
There should be less wealth inequality.
Americans should support small businesses more than they do now.
Americans should avoid large businesses with excessive CEO pay, poor employee working conditions or unethical practices.
Promoting rational election decisions.
Americans should support Democratic, pro-democracy candidates and reject Republicans, who almost uniformly support Trump and authoritarianism.
Conservatives should create a new political party based on the rejection of Trump and belief in the rule of law, the Constitution and democracy.
Promoting participation in some type of civic activity and ensuring all Americans have a general understanding of what is going on politically.
It is unacceptable for Americans to be so ignorant that:
They believe Trump and Republicans care about their welfare and Democrats do not.
They believe the lies that Trump won the 2020 election, there was massive fraud in that election, COVID-19 is a hoax, climate change is a hoax, vaccines are dangerous or that tax breaks to the superwealthy help society more than policies promoting the middle class.
They think that authoritarianism may be better than democracy.
Promoting alternative mechanisms of informing the public about complex political issues that provide more depth than short videos or social media posts.

#5 is key to all other suggestions, how do we do this? The very few people I know who are Trumpers are invested in their point of view and their 'news' sources...
