I concur with the article.

I have studied, informally for years, Narcissistic Personality Disorder which is recognized by the psychiatric authorities as an illness.

In 2017, "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump" was published. The book is a compilation of 28 psychiatrists and mental health experts' opinions that define Trump's behavior as a Malignant Narcissistic Personality Disorder. In 2024, this book was updated to 40 references. The mental health experts warned us!

Narcissists do not feel good about themselves and pursue a lifelong quest to prove that they are ok. The reptile brain dominates - fight or flight; Trump is in a constant state of fight. The goal of "being ok" never occurs in almost all cases. Emotional maturity stops at about eight years of life.

Good reference:

Bernstein, Albert. "Emotional Vampires" second edition, McGraw Hill, 2012.

In this self help book, Bernstein explains, in plain language, personality disorders and how to equip oneself to deal with the illness. There is much detail regarding narcissism. P. 145 lists 20 characteristics. Summarily, a plain language approach to include humour with suggestions to how to "Deal with People Who Drain You Dry." Trump, as an emotional vampire, has hypnotized a vast portion of the U.S. populace to include the governing class!

I agree with you, Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Trump makes sense. He always seems like a transparent con man to me, it is a mystery how he can be taken at his word. He seems almost to be talking to himself. The governing class I believe were looking for a would-be dictator, and have helped Trump to take over the GOP. The level of private+corporate+public+financial US debt as % GDP and inequality as % GDP, are at similar levels to 1930. The idea is that democracy cannot sustain this level of debt and this level of inequality, without major reforms. In the 1930s FDR saved US democracy by reform, the attempt to install General Smedley Butler as dictator to stop FDR failed. This time there is no FDR and they have their Smedley as the elected President.

Trump is attempting to remove everything that makes America great. Social security gone Medicare gone Medicaid gone veterans benefits gone. HHS NIH and FDA all gone. The things that protect Americans or help Americans all gone. It's time that we band together and remove trump

I also concur with the article. This has been on my mind since Trump took office and appointed all the incompetent people to his cabinet. And the latest leak of War plans really makes me concur with this article.

How I wish the military could remove trump but unless he refuses to leave the white house on his last day in office there's nothing they can do. If he refuses to vacate the white house before 12noon on his last day as president the military can ; will enter the white house , arrest him for treason

The president should be removed from office in the constitutional and legal manner identified by our government. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD A MILITARY COUP TAKE PLACE, EVEN IF DONE FOR THE “RIGHT” REASONS. If the lawful process takes place and he is legally removed from office, yet refuses to step down, then police and military efforts to enforce the law can be taken. MUSK HAS NOT BEEN ELECTED NOR VALIDATED BY CONGRESS. Get him out in any way possible.

Madison did not anticipate a faction as large and extreme as MAGA, this was not how C18 British politics of which he was familiar worked. The Constitution does not deal with the problem of impeaching a president attempting to overturn it, who controls a very large and extreme faction. Republican members of Congress minded to rebel are afraid for themselves and their families. The Declaration of Independence was implemented by the Constitution, the declaration includes this sentence "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." The Constitution does not implement this idea. Trump shows why it should now. An amendment needs to be devised and ratified after the fact if necessary, after Trump’s removal, the purging of MAGA extremism and a new election.

The executive and legislative branches of our government are totally corrupted. The judicial branch is attempting to uphold the rule of law. I believe the current Trump regime is a threat to our democracy. I don’t know enough about our military to understand if a coup is possible or wise. Trump is the symptom of unfettered capitalism.

I removed this comment because it may be close to violating the law at 18 USC Ch. 115: TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES. See https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/part-I/chapter-115. Perhaps not, but I don't want anyone getting into trouble with the law based on posts to this blog.

How can we get trump and Vance out of office? Revolution, civil war? He must go! He's a disgrace to our great country

It will be extremely difficult to stop the Trump dictatorship. Trump will use the power of the federal government he is attempting to be governed by him rather than the rule of law, to spy on, blackmail, punish and intimidate opposition to his rule; while rewarding his followers. Trump will recruit MAGA extremists as federal employees and then impose them on state election administrators (see 1965 VRA) to ensure election corruption rather than preventing it. A new American Revolution might be required.

Is a double or even triple or quadruple impeachment possible, because if Trump goes but Vance, Musk and/or Johnson stay, we're not a whole lot better off. OTOH, if they're all impeached and removed, we have incendiary speeches that incite real violence. What would be a positive outcome?

I think nobody knows what Vance would be like if Trump was really gone. Right now, Vance is Trump's flunky but as President he might be different.

Vance is a tool of Peter Thiel and those behind Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation. He needs to be removed as well. The timing is important. If Democrats can gain control of both houses in the 2026 election, and then Vance becomes president, he will need congressional approval of whomever he wants as his vice-president. There would be some level of control over his actions. We need new elections as early as possible.

Trump is the narcassist, and Vance the ideologue. If Vance takes over it will be worse. Some were predicting Trump would be allowed to be killed exactly for this reason.

Absolutely! The whole entire administration would have to be removed. 😵 But what a thought.

Advocating that Trump be held accountable and removed from office is not the same as advocating for the overthrow of the government. Just the opposite. In order to save our republic, it is necessary to remove those who themselves are not acting legally. I have wondered if the military, in order to protect the constitution, could take whatever action necessary and band with representatives from each branch who are still constitutionalists and arrange for new elections.

I just approached SubStack viewers to consider a massive Post Card/Letter to our Admirals and 4 Star Generals. Encouraging and asking for feed back. A get in your neighbors face kind of approach to obtain the Post Cards and letters including being at Rallies, VFW and other Veterans festivities. I ran across your list by accident but am glad I did.

Absolutely agree. To remove any Trump dictatorship, at worst a new American revolution would be required, with the use of armed force. To ensure the military acted in a unified way would be a problem. There would have to be an effort similar to the original revolution, of showing just cause and planning for an amended constitution to ensure a swift return to stability. Possibly to plan such a back stop, would put a brake on Trump’s dash for dictatorship.
