The monster and you

There is a monster in the White House. This insecure, deranged person represents the greatest threat to the civilized world today. It’s no coincidence that his own Vice President once likened him to America’s Hitler”, and that was before he was reelected.
As a physician, I’m alarmed by the lives being lost as a result of his actions.
As a lawyer, I’m disturbed by his blatant disregard for the Constitution and the rule of law.
As a business owner, I’m troubled by his erratic decisions, which are harming the economy and may well trigger what is already being called the Trump recession.
His “big ugly bill”, as described here and here, is particularly alarming.
So I ask you: what are you going to do about it?
The most honest answer is: “something more than I’m doing now.” The exact steps are yours to decide. But if we want to stop this destructive force and work toward a better future, for ourselves and the next generation, we must do more than complain or wait for others to act. We have to step up. We have to act now.
Here are some options to consider:
Beyond the usual actions available in a democracy, voting, donating, volunteering, attending events, contacting representatives, posting online and having conversations in your community, there’s one thing you can always do more of: learn. Learn about proposed legislation and upcoming policy changes. Learn how the courts and government function. Understand how elections work, how the economy operates, and what history can teach us. The more you know, the more informed and impactful your actions will be. Source
I also believe we should make an effort to boycott the billionaires who have enabled this destructive figure and his harmful agenda.

The first step is to spread more public information about it. I don't claim to to be able to do it or say it will be quick and easy. But this is not a myth about a demi-god such as Hercules. The good government movement in the early 20th century did end the spoils system. Graft at Tammany Hall and other machine politics didn't stay a feature of American life.
